A clinicopathological study of adnexal masses in the tertiary care hospital, Kadapa

Background: Adnexal mass is a common clinical presentation among women of all age groups and extremely reproductive groups. It may be gynecological or non-gynecological origin. The exact prevalence adnexal could not determined, as most them develop resolve without any symptoms. poses special perplexity to the attending gynecologists, because differential diagnosis extensive masses are benign. Differential complex includes benign malignant ovarian tumors, functional cysts, para tubo-ovarian abscess, ectopic pregnancy, hydrosalpinx, fimbrial cyst, tubal malignancies, broad ligament fibroid.Methods: was prospective study conducted in department gynecology, GGH, Kadapa. tertiary care hospital. Total hundred cases were included based on selection criteria. Ethical committee approval taken prior study.Results: A total 100 study. 40% subjects had parity 2 11% maximum 4. 81% surgical management. 45 patients CA125 >35 u/ml. Among 48% have lesions 51% lesions. 92.72% with <35 u/ml 7.27% lesions.Conclusions: found more middle females (54%) group 31-50 years. Serous cystadenoma simple serous cyst (25%) lesion cystadenocarcinoma.
